Product description

Specifically formulated for large breed (26-44kg), neutered adult dogs, this tasty dry food has increased protein levels and low fat content. With valuable L-carnitine to improve the fat burning process.

Royal Canin dry dog food is based on a concept which provides the ideal nutritional solution for your pet's specific needs. When dogs are neutered their metabolism changes and they frequently eat more than they need, even though they have reduced energy needs. Such dogs need a food which suits their changed metabolism and also contains all the nutrients and vitamins they need to stay healthy. Many neutered dogs have a tendency to obesity which can affect their general well-being.

Royal Canin Maxi Adult Sterilised can help your dog maintain a healthy weight. It has increased protein levels and a low fat content. It also contains L-carnitine which can help to improve the fat burning process and support a healthy diet. Royal Canin Maxi Adult Sterilised is made to a special recipe which helps your dog to feel full for longer, so it does not get hungry between meals.

Royal Canin Maxi Adult Sterilised was specially developed for neutered, large breed (26-44kg) dogs. It is suitable for dogs over 15 months.

Excellent quality food.
My GSDxAM BULLDOG is a great fan of this food. My vet said it's one of the best so I thought we'd give it a go. This food is really good quality and Zooplus is excellent for price.Szeb has maintained his weight after being neutered, he's happy, healthy and his tum is fine, if you are squeamish look away now..his poops are solid and regular so no prob with his glands!! If he's happy so am I.

Excellent
I recently made the transition from normal adult Royal Canin to this. Normally my dog doesn't like this type of dog food but this brand seems to be a winner. He almost swallows it whole!

Excellent product
Usually my dog isn't the biggest fan of this kind of food, but he really loves this brand, and he totally devours the Sterilised version

Superb food for GSD
Ok so I research until I'm comfortable that the four legged family member is getting the best for the price. I have tried all the so called top end foods and can say with certainty that this is the only one which gives consistent results in my dog! I would gladly spend the sometimes unbelievable prices for dog food if I thought it was doing any good, but believe me when you pay a small fortune and then have a dog who has the runs after a mere few handfuls of food is not much fun. And the rations on these top end foods leave a lot to be desired. To me Royal canin is for anyone who has a GSD and is struggling with digestion issues etc, overall my dog is a picture of health, shiny coat, lovely temperament and no eye/teeth issues etc, now this in part to getting her from a great and respected breeder, but the food plays a massive role in her wellbeing. The only other food option better would be RAW, and I refuse to feed that for many reasons inc salmonella around the house and grounds! Royal Canin from me is 9/10, it would get 10 but I feel they should just have a little bit more transparency in their meat processing etc but hey can't have it all Oh and btw in my opinion dogs are not wolves and even the German shepherd has adapted and been domesticated to eat other items than meat! Zoo plus do 10/10 from me in terms of service and delivery

Testing this product
We are trying this food for the following reasons: our puppy picks at the current food we give her (normal brand from a supermarket) and then can be really frantic and tbh mental at times knocking the kids over, it's like she's got ADHD. She is pooing still around 6 times a day!! Plus she is often doing loose poos. This is a pita and I've checked every other possible cause and I can only guess it's the food. She smells within a few hours of being bathed and moults like crazy. Her coat looks ok but it's not shiny. Today is day 1, I was surprised how little she is supposed to eat and just gave her her half portion for tea. Well I have never seen her eat ANYTHING so fast. I will post again in a fortnight to update the situation on all of the above.

Fussy dogs
My dogs have always messed about with food so often had to add other things to try to get them To eat. This is the first food my dogs have ever been excited about and eat every last bit without persuasion. Being German shepherds they have always had dicky tummys but that is not a problem anymore. They went to vet last week and their weight has hardly changed since they were sterilized.
