What is BARF?
BARF stands for Biologically Appropriate Raw Food. It also stands for Bones and Raw Food. When you feed your dog a BARF diet you are feeding your dog with raw fresh food. This diet is very similar to the original, natural diet of wild dogs which consisted mainly of prey. The prey would be almost entirely consumed, including the contents of the stomach which might include grains or vegetables.

A balanced diet for the domesticated dog should be rich in animal proteins, fats, carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins, enzymes and fibre. BARF feeding means that you can control the quality and content of your dog’s food. You can adapt your dog’s diet to include ingredients it loves and to exclude ingredients which cause food intolerances or sensitivities. You can offer your dog a variety of different animal proteins and nutrients to suit its individual tastes, needs and lifestyle.

These top quality deep-frozen raw products have been carefully prepared, packaged and stored.
The products are stored in industrial freezer units at -24°C. The packaged, deep-frozen products are only loaded onto the container immediately prior to shipping. This guarantees that the product remains deep frozen during transit, ensuring the highest standards of quality and freshness all year round.

The goods are insulated with dry ice packs and dispatched throughout the year. Dry ice is a solid form of carbon dioxide and has a temperature of -78°C. It has a lower temperature than water ice and leaves virtually no liquid residue. It is frequently used to package foods intended for human consumption and that need to stay cold or frozen. Please refer to the instructions on the packaging for handling dry ice.

  • This product can be stored for at least 12 months at -18°C. (This is the average temperature inside a domestic freezer).
  • We recommend defrosting the product slowly at room temperature or in a dedicated area of the refrigerator, ideally on a low shelf.
  • The defrosted product can be kept for 2-3 days in the refrigerator.
